iFloat Art Show Saturday March 14th
Floating for a Cause Opening Reception March 14th
Hello all! On Saturday March 14th the folks from ifloat (CT’s premier sensory deprivation/floatation center) will be hosting an art show at FTS. The art show will be curated by ifloat’s own, David Conneely.
What is ifloating?
As explained by a pre-eminent scientist, “Floating is a method of attaining the deepest rest that humankind has ever experienced.” Essentially, it’s spending an hour or so lying quietly in the dark, suspended in a warm solution of Epsom salt, about 10″ deep, and so dense that you float effortlessly. In short, it’s complete mental and physical relaxation.
What is “Floating for a Cause?”
The event comes out of the iFloat Artist program, in which artists are given three complimentary floatation sessions in exchange for a work of art inspired by their experiences. Art pieces include paintings, graphics art, photography, and sculpture.
